WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
IS MEDICAL COACHING COVERED BY THE HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANY?
This new form of patient care is generally not covered by either private or statutory health insurance. This will change at some point. But for now, please assume that you will have to cover the costs yourself.
HOW LONG DOES MEDICAL COACHING TAKE?
That depends entirely on your questions and your personal situation. I will always set aside 45 minutes for you. If it takes longer, that's no problem.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MEDICAL COACHING AND A DOCTOR’S OFFICE CONSULTATION?
Unfortunately, we are not sitting together in the doctor's office and can discuss everything in person. That's a shame.
But: with a telephone consultation, you don't have to travel long distances, wait, or wear an FFP2 mask! And I'm not under any time pressure, have no emergencies or calls from the operating room, and all your documents are already at hand. Nothing distracts us in the search for the cause and treatment of your symptoms.
HOW DOES MEDICAL COACHING WORK?
For the coaching appointment, I will call you on the phone number you provided. Then we will go through the course of your illness from the beginning to the present day. We usually manage to finally work out the cause clearly. Ultimately, the crucial question is: what happens next? I will show you treatment options so that you finally have a clear roadmap for the future.
HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR MEDICAL COACHING ?
It is helpful if you send me written documents about a gastroscopy, a hospital stay, etc. in advance for me to look at: team@reflux-loehde.de . We do not need DVDs, videos or real X-rays at this stage.
Otherwise, write down all your questions. We will go through them and nothing will be forgotten.

WILL MEDICAL COACHING REALLY HELP ME?
Yes, I am absolutely certain of that! After our conversation, you may not be healthy yet, but you will have learned a lot about your illness and will know exactly where your problem lies and what the path to recovery might look like. This is a crucial step for most patients.

That's us! We check the so-called indication for surgery and your surgical and anesthesiological risk profile. Then we book you in and take care of everything: surgery date, documents for the health insurance companies, pre- and post-operative care, and much more. With my team, you are in the very best hands!
WILL MY HEALTH INSURANCE COVER THE COSTS OF THE SURGERY?
Yes, all costs for the operation are now covered by all statutory and private health insurance companies in Germany. You will receive the necessary documents for your health insurance company from us.
